It depends on the baby....but i suggest enfamil because similac causes gas for the baby and they become fussy... but like i said it depends, if the baby is comfortable with similac then by all means stick to it.. try both and test how he/she feels with it. but breast milk is the best.

Breast is best.
I would have to say Enfamil over Similac. Enfamil dissolves so much easier than Similac. But don't be fooled by the high prices.. the store brands are the same as the name brand without the high prices.

Depends on the baby...ask your pediatrician for a recommendation. I use Enfamil Gentalese with my baby, but I have used Nestle Goodstart and Similac alimentum with my other 2... Enfamil automatically has DHA and ARA in it...similac doesnt the last time I checked.

Well it depends on which company your doctor is getting kickbacks from. Mine was yelling ENFAMIL as loud as he could over my baby screaming so that his recorder would pick it up. Hilarious! (he didn't know I used to work in a residency).
Really they are all regulated by the same people. Breast milk is best but if you can't breastfeed all the time get formula that you think has the most nutrients. Enfamil was best for my kid because I was breastfeeding as well, and he seemed to digest it better. After they are getting most of the nutrients from food, that cheap stuff from walmart will do.

My daugther personally did better on Similac, or the store brand version of Similac to be more precise.
It really does depend on how your baby tolerates a particular formula. Some kids like my friends daughter it didn't matter, she bought whatever was on sale/cheapest etc. My daughter couldn't handle being switched.
Just don't "stock" up on anyone kind of formula until you see how he/she tolerates it.
Good Luck.

It depends on the baby. My son did better with Similac - and also did better with the prepared formula. The powder gave him problems. There are other less expensive brands (store brands) as well. Here is a link that explains it well....http://pediatrics.about.com/od/weeklyquestion/a/04_baby_formula.htm
But ultimately - your baby will have to make the finaly decision.

I use enfamil because it's all my baby will eat! I would love to feed her a cheaper brand because they really are all the same! But unfortunatly your baby will tell you which one they like (which means sits best in thier tummy and gives less gas) and that's what you buy.

my little girl couldn't digest either the enfamil or similac. We we gave your the nestle goodstart with comfort proteins she was finally able to enjoy without getting tummy aches and being constipated. SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NESTLE.

Breast milk is always best - even formula makers will tell you that. We like Enfamil better and actually use the Parent's Choice brand from Wal-Mart which is just as good for half the price.
