We're not wired for monogamy.

lol. You can't let yourself get upset by the idiocy of some people.

Monogamy is 2 people making a committment to each other, for an intimate partnership, and sticking to it.

It has nothing to do with christian values.

Yes, people ARE wired for monogamy. Those who prefer to "spead the love" around, will not be doing it their whole lives. :) Eventually, EVERYONE seeks monogamy. The ones who gained themselves a reputation, will have a D*MNED tough time finding anyone who wants to committ to them, in old age.

But trying to explain that to someone "living in the moment" is impossible. The longer view doesn't exist for them. So don't bother trying.

Let them blather.

Just know who and what they are. And avoid them.

Peace.

well, take a look at the stats. Ask around. Plenty and I mean plenty of my friends were in sexual relationships before they married. Some in fairly committed relationships. I was teh odd one, I waited. Recently a study- a 50 year study- stated that what, 9 out of 10 had pre-marital sex? And what about divorce and what I guess we could call post-marital sex? Once more, I am teh oddball- my parents have just had their 40th anniversary- unusual in this day and age.

And while Christians claim to believe one only forever, how many of them actually act on it? How many divorced christians do you know?
