If you do buy any slate from homedepot or lowes, like the previous answerer suggested, you need to test if it is aquarium safe
the best way to do this, is with a white vinegar/water solution, only put a bit on it, if you see bubbles foaming, it's not tank safe

Any rinsed slate will do. you can purchase individual pieces of slate at any home depot or lowes. there is no official "aquarium slate" because all slate is safe for your tank.
