Sounds like he is attempting to take some credit for the charity and pretend that it is a Limbaugh appology.

Google US Congress and use the search for the resolution or just search Rush Limbaugh

the congressional record.

Reid told the story of the letter and praised Rush for his constructive use of it. He's not taking credit for it, just trying to be gracious and to give a little publicity to the Marine Corps, Law Enforcement Association fund. His speech also goes into the Congressional Record, and that's nice for Rush.

He is just doing what Rush does (or any other clever politician or media savvy personality): He is turning the tables out of a stupid thing that his opponent did. Score 2 for Reid (one for Rush's "phony soldiers" comment, 2 for turning Rush's auction into a moment to hit at Rush)... Rush lost this one. He'll win the next one.... every dog has his day.

2.1 million dollars in bid so far.
REID? he is not worth that much and charity? he is a case for sure.
DO these people have nothing better to lobby for than this dribble? More excuses and photo ops. What are they thinking?
Above has the C-Span. Thanks!

Reid needs to resign his leadership position and give it to someone with a spine.
