Quick history:
Caregiver fell with my son and fractured his skull
Went to specialist -he said everything was fine
Took him for 4 mos. shots, doc sent to be re-xrayed-afraid he might not be healing well
Specialist said he was perfectly fine
That was two weeks ago!
Today they call and say doc wants him to be re-xrayed in 6 weeks because he's not happy with the way it's healing.
Why did it take two weeks for him to change his mind?
Is it possible doc doesn't realize my son went in for his 6 week re-xray 4 weeks early because of his doc worrying when we went in for his shots?
I left a message for them to call me back.

Nurse called back. Said doc does realize he was re-xrayed early but wants to be sure everything heals fine in another six weeks. She said he's just a very caring doc who wants to be absolutely sure he heals properly.

So sorry for you and him having to go through all of this! OMG!
I'm sure your doc is just being vigilant and careful - take son back in. I'm sure everything is fine. He's just covering his A** for malpractice! ; ) If you take him back in you'll be reassured too - can't be too careful with babies!

I'd definitely take him in. It's possible that the specialist is bogged down and seeing as your dr is concerned, definitely go with it. The more opinions you can get, the better. Usually it's the opposite! You don't find out something's wrong until it's too late! Take him for the x ray!

I am so sorry for you and the baby. After X-rays are taken, they are sent to radiology to be read by a radiologist. They are the professional X-ray readers. That may be why it took so long to get this new information. Take the baby in and see what you need to do next. What are you going to do about this so called care giver? Sounds to me like this person shouldn't be taking care of babies. Good luck to you.

Drs are only human and they can make mistakes sometimes. Just be happy he realized it and your baby can have a better follow up. I'd be upset too. Wait until they call you back and see what he has to say. Good luck

Sorry I don't really know but man I feel bad for you. I would be devastated if my baby's caregiver fell and her head was fractured. I hope your baby heals well and god bless the little guy!
