Hey i just wanted to know whats the punishment for a minor 16years of age driving without a licence in India(Kerala).

Being a minor of 16years you cannot get a proper driving licence,but you can apply & get learner's driving licence,on the basis which you can drive the vehicle along with a person holding a proper driving licence. As far the amount of challan for driving any vehicle without any licence is concerned it depends on the rules applicable in different states,it may be Rs1000/- or more depending on these rules applicablle to you in your state.

THIS HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA.
The person whose vehicle is used is fined. He is responsible for letting a minor without licence to drive.
My brother met with an accident with vehicle driven by minor & his father had to pay for compensation.
What is strange that case is closed after compensation.
The only traffic rule know to Indians is do not cross red light but many break that rule also.
There is no courtesy on road. Bigger the vehicle more arrogant is driver. People do not care for traffic rules.
After coming from Europe / USA this looks like a circus in which everyone is participating.
If you drive carefully others horn.
I stopped a vehicle coming from wring side on full beam & to my surprise police person in uniform was driving it.
He gave example that Kiran Bedi was not promoted though she did good job. There is no use of following rules in India as who has influence can break law.
I was talking to police person & he told that we have such bad reputation that other people were looking at us thinking that you have broken the rules & I am taking bribe. He said that he does not try to control traffic as he cannot give ticket [challan] to lawbreakers as people use influence.
People in other countries drive very sensibly & have much less accidents. We loose many lives & families are shattered still we prefer to drive without caring for rules.
These lives can be saved if we become better drives.
In India a fast driver is considered a good driver. He is worst driver who endangers life of himself, his passengers & people on road.
Can any Indian tell which traffic rule he follows.
It is complete chaos & something dramatic is required to control the way Indians drive.

Legally a fine up to one thousand rupees lest you bribe the Policeman-it could be solved for fifty rupees! Socially a thing to boast about for the parents. Ethically, no respect for lesser creatures on the road. There are many modes of punishment. Depends day you are having.
