Religion is a poor substitute for common sense, since it opens up a bigger question than it answers. If you are going to argue that God always was, you might as well argue that people always were. Neither argument makes any sense, does it?

so what is your opinion of the Big Bang? You know, the theory that everything in the universe appeared from a single point out of nothingness?

You are right. Religion cannot explain that. Its the job of science to explain.

You might want to check the latest Quantum Theories about the beginning of everything. The Big Bang has been replaced with a new theory which does explain "how something can be made from nothing". And provides some answers for things like "if God created everything then where did God stand while doing it".

You are right..religion was man made just like we are obsessed on other things like sports and entertainment and becomes part of our lives. Energy is your answer because it can never be created nor destroyed. I say God is energy and we are part of that energy being transformed into anything. Its just that this energy has different frequencies....i dont know if that helps answer your question but you should do some research on quantum physics.

Religion, is still around to give people hope for something more and to try to explain (how everybad) where we came fom. Most important for religiion is to teach people morals through stories. Except some religions like islam teach hate for all other religions and also how to be sexist..

So? Is this an assignment you are working on? Or are you out to change the world. If so, you need to come up with less mundane, trite statements.
Better luck next time. You did not impress anyone this time.

you dont understand, God always was. You cant conceive of eternity because you live in a world with time as a dimension. but that's all it is... a dimension of this world.
