I died saving my current girlfriend's life. she was at the bottom of a cliff drowning in water. So i jumped off but missed the water and hit land. my body just went numb and i had an outside view of my body. any interpretations?

Someone said that all characters in a dream are really different sides of us. I agree with that as far as the important ones go.
With that in mind, I feel that your girlfriend in this dream is representative of a part of you that relates to personality and/or lifestyle qualities that you associate with her. Sometimes when we become part of a couple we have a tendency to "adopt" the attitudes and "ways of being in the world" of our partners.
Are you trying to "save" the part of you that is trying very hard to "be" that personality or lifestyle? Perhaps your subconscious is showing you that unless you are true to who you are - neither of you will be saved - despite your heroic efforts.

No, really, it says that your girlfriend is involved with something out of her league, something dangerous. It warns that if you try to save her without thinking things through, you'll be sucked in even deeper than she. If she is in over her head, you need to find a different way to save her, or let someone else do it, because to try to save her on impulse will cause you great loss.
I'm not sure I believe in dream interpretation, etc., but that's what I see. Hope it helps.

I don't have an interpretation.
My boyfriend called me this morning from work to tell me he had almost the same dream last night. Only I was drowning in the lake we visit every summer. I was out on the water in the row boat and it started to sink so he came out to help me and there was a rope attached to the gas tank that got tied around his leg and it took him under.
That is crazy you both had dreams about dying while saving your women.
