in your vagina?

It would depend on what the symptoms are.

If one suspects a yeast infection the discharge can be thick like cottage cheese and there can be itching and redness involved. Sometimes the discharge can be yellowish-green too.

For bacterial vaginosis the most recognizable symptom is a discharge that smells like a fish.

If it's a cervical infection the discharge can be a bit heavy and like a yellowish color (this occurring at other times other than the period) and sometimes bleeding.

To find out for sure if an infection is going on I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
