Is there a way to conduct an experiment that proves if dimples are hereditary?

Is this possible? What will I need to do? I really like this idea for my science experiment but I don't know where to start.

One place to start would be to look at large families, particularly families with multiple generations (grandparents and great-grandparents), and construct pedigrees of the trait in different families.

By looking a several pedigrees and how dimples are passed from one generation to the next, you should be able to determine whether and how they are inherited.
