It is interesting to think that the most powerful countries in the World are Christian countries isn't it?
Hmmm... Maybe it's because we chose the right God?

Yep! Best weapons in the world. Strongest soldiers in the world. Most advanced technology in the world. All these things. I don't think God gave any of this to us. The ability to help your neighbor. The ability to know right from wrong. These kind of things God gave us, with the ability to us them. If we do, that is up to us. The weapons of war are very dangerous when in the hands of morons that use them for their own gains. Why are we being beaten by a rag tag group of men that wear rags around their heads & have barely any of the modern technology that you are so proud of? 30,000 soldiers with arms and/or legs missing. And God knows what all. That is our army, the best in the world in the hands of morons.

Why do you think that we have the best? There are other countries that have very good techonology and very good soldiers.
If you take our best soldier and put him/her against the best soldier from another country, I have no idea who would win. It will not automatically be the US soldier. All people are different. That is a simple fact.
Your question also brings up an interesting point. I thought that god was supposed to be peaceful and loving. Why would a peaceful and loving deity give out powerful weapons and make strong soldiers? A peaceful and loving deity would not do that. Only a vengeful and hateful deity would do something like that.

God does not take sides. Science, and the worlds greatest technological infrastructure gave us that stuff. If you want to know where we got to were we are economically and technologically, study the history of how Europeans who had more advanced weapons invaded and overran a whole continent with vast resouces.

Your question leads me to believe that you are quite young, or just poorly educated. God does not give any Nation weapons, we design and build them ourselves. As for soldiers, again, we train them ourselves not God. To say that God takes sides is uninformed and truthfully quite naive. Hope this was at least a bit helpful.

Are you kidding me?! God doesn't give this to America... America has created it. Millions and millions of dollars are going to the military every year and that's why the army is so damn strong. Think of all the other things that we could be doing with all that money.. we could be putting it into education and health!!! If there was a God then pray that the government isn't stupid enough to keep this up!

Wow, the big debate. Why God?....... Well I do belive in God ( jesus) . The question is not so much why God gave us guns.....but did God give us the ability to create, think, and reproudce. And the question is yes....And what ever we put our minds to we can do. And when you think about it that is really cool....however.....sometimes we do not make so cool things.

God has given us nothing. Everything that we have, we have given to ourselves. Nations that wait for God to give them soldiers and weapons are pretty much still waiting...

God didn't give us anything we made things happen for ourselves. The only thing God ever did for us is give us free will.

i don't think God gave us anything but free will. he sure isn't up there ordering from the Weapons R Us catalog for the US.
