Every time I try to start up Firefox, a download box pops up, and no page will load. The message I get is;
"Opening Firefox
You have chosen to open
firefox
which is a: WinZip file
from: http://en-us.start.mozilla.com

What should Firefox do with this file?"

I have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, and I also completely uninstalled WinZip and WinRar, but nothing is working! Help!

Deleting the shortcut didn't work. The problem has nothing to do with that ... firefox opens, but the page is blank and the download window opens.

I don't think you're understanding what my problem is.
Here's a screenshot of what I get when I try to start firefox.

I've already uninstalled it about five times ... forget it. No best answer, sorry.

Sounds like you need to:
(1) Right-click your Firefox shortcut. In the menu, click Delete, then when it asks if you REALLY WANT TO, say, Yes.
(2) Go to Start, Programs, and find Firefox, and right-click that, and in the menu, click Create Shortcut

Hope this helps

You are doing something seriously wrong. First off, the URL you gave actually leads to nowhere. Secondly, firefox downloads as an exe file. Go here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html#en, choose the version of choice English for the US and select a Windows version, click the link and a new window will appear. The download should start soon after. It may go to your desktop or wherether your downloads usually go. Run the EXE. it really is that simple.
