I think it should be very mild! Public flirting can be a very big turn-on even if it's kept very very mild and discreet! A soft whisper of promises for the evening in public do more for me than rubbing my leg! LOL I hope this is what you meant! To see others displaying affection does not bother me as long as it is kept appropriate (I have children) LOL

I think that holding hands and a quick kiss and hug are fine, but lotsa times you see people in a full embrace groping body parts and sloppy wet kissing, tongues and all. To me, that shows not that a couple is totally "in to" each other or in love. That tells me that they have no self-respect.

I'm all for affection, and my husband and I always hold hands and are very affectionate. I think nothing shows love and respect for another better than the way you treat them and talk to them in public. I have been maried, lemme count, um, 14 and a half years, and we ALWAYS end our phone call (even 2-way Nextel) with "I love you," we touch each other gently (on the shoulder, arm, etc) when we walk by each other (in public OR at home) and we have never had a fight where we called each other names. We have pet names for each other that we are not shy about calling each other in public.

We are happy to show THAT kind of affection in public.

Love it. Here's the greatest. There is a couple who have been married over 50 years who visits her sisters here. It was raining a couple of days ago and they pulled up in the parking lot. The couple was hid behind another car but their umbrellas were showing. The man helped his wife with the umbrella and they began to walk up to the door. They stopped in the middle of the parking lot and kissed each other. That melts my heart. The couple are retired missionaries and act like they are 40. Thank God for them.

Depends on the strength of the display really - a full on snog is not on but a kiss, hug, holding hands etc is very nice to see.

Holding hands, a hug or a kiss on the cheek are fine but groping and tonsil hockey are private!

i think its fine. there is line though. i think it borderlines distasteful when tongue is involved and it becomes against the law when nudity is involved. haha i have seen the latter before - in a crowded mall of all places.

edit - lmao! look at the answer above me. bj bear must've been the guy i saw at the mall! hahaha

It isn't bad....I mean if a guy is groping his woman all over the place and sticking their tongue down her throat then its nasty, but holding hands and a hug or a quick kiss on the lips isn't so bad.

Nothing wrong with them. Unless they are getting down and dirty in the middle of the mall..somethings are best done at home.

They just can't help themselves. They are in love. As long as they are not groping each other.
