1. marriage pre-dates the evolution of organized state. people were a lot more civilized in the past then they are today with all the laws controlling their lives.

2. if the state stays out of marriage things will go back to they way they were in the past. men and women would live together with responsibility and love instead of out of fear or duty.

3. todays laws mostly benefit women as the knee jerk reaction of the state by making biased laws in favor of women in marriage is killing marriage like slow poison. if the state continues to regulate marriage the institution which is already on life support will go into coma.

4. marriage in one area which does not need state interference. if 2 people decide to stay together it should be out of love and not out of fear of state action.

5. so what if people are given the choice to walk out of marriage ? is this going to change things much. in the past also men had multiple wives the result will be that instead of the rule of monogamy which is the result of state regulation there will be polygamy which infact is recognized in koran as god himself has permitted man to have more then one wife to satisfy his desires.

6. wives would be more careful about how they treat their husbands if the state did not interfere. it is only misguided state bias towards womans empowerment that has resulted in biased marraige laws.

7. so if the father does not provide, what about an educated mother is she not capable of earning to sustain herself and child. a woman would be more careful of her behavior knowing the value of a man in marriage if the state stayed out of marriage.

8. do you think a woman would have the guts to dress flashily or be rude to her husband or make boyfriends at work or not cook or look after children if she felt that inspite of all her misbehaviors the state would protect her rights if the husand ever went to court. it is only because a man's rights have been stiffiled that woman are able to dominate the scene today leading to promiscuity, immodesty, disrespectful attitude toward husband etc in todays soceity. the moment woman feel that they cant coerce their husbands they will go back to being decent.

I have a lot to say about this!
NO, IT CAN NOT! That is what is wrong in the world today! In the beginning man went out and brought home the living. Provided the home, the money, food, clothing, utilities, took the whole family to church every Sunday and took care of the finances. Today women have been forced to come out of the home and do what God put the men on earth for. Basically switched roles. So besides going out and working. They come home at the end of the work day & do the cooking, cleaning, raising kids, they spend much time and anquish worrying about everything and what will happen a month from now. You can say they have now evolved into women with balls!!!! We have now earned the right to raise our voices, posses power, as well as keep a home! What do men expect, they let this happen somewhere down the line so really they can be kicked to the curb and replaced with a new husband or lover etc. Leading up to this day & age where nothing is what is use to be or as it should be. Marriage has to have a strong foundation, strong walls, tall solid roof and a clean floor. A home of which nothing can crumble, shatter or falter it. It has to be strong now, more than ever before and young people today don't know how to do it, they only know what they were taught as they grew up. We all need to be "Resensitized", our brains and souls scrubbed clean and reprogrammed to about 100 years ago. I think if we had a second chance we could make it better. If we do not do something drastic soon, Marriage will be nothing but an empty idea & only a meaningless word. GOD HELP US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When does the State comes into the picture.? Whenever there is a dispute, or legal disqualifications ,when the solemn agreement made at the time of marriage is not enforceable or broken or when there is no marriage of minds ,the affected party submits for a remedy through the State for reliefs. Therefore a State provides justice to the affected person which includes survival and protection of the marriage.

Marriage is a bond between 2 individuals that is based on certain fundamental values - love, trust and emotional maturity between the partners - when to talk, what to talk, how to talk and behave.

Any external efforts by State, friends or family will only support this relationship further. On the other hand strong fundamental values have helped marriages survive even the worst conditions from the State or family

actually a piece of paper does not guarantee the success of the marriage...rather it is the commitment of the two hearts involved that make it succeed....so if two people work hard in their relationship then it should not fail...with the legal documents or not....

the organized state only comes into play when the marriage is in trouble and there is a need to divide the material possessions and to settle other disputes...

It would be a different concept then. Marriage exists as a legal relationship between two people. Without an organized state, there is no law.

A marriage survives only because of the commitment.

Nothing else, it is a contract, written or unwritten (in case of common law marriage) recorded or not recorded.

of course, if people are actually willing to put effort into being married. most people now think that if it doesnt work, thats that, its over, move on. they dont realize that its something that needs to be worked on regularly.
