It is a state that was established by Britain and the United States for European Jews.
Prior to the United States and Britain creating the Jewish state, Arabs and Middle Eastern Jews lived peacefully together.
But establishing a Western state in Palestine is a source of concern to Palestinians, and other Arabs in the region.

I'm sorry but everyone in the above answers is wrong and very misinformed. Has anyone of you blind persons looked into how the terror state of Israel was founded. It was founded on the bases of terrorism and Genocide. They have repeatedly stolen land and still today steal land. They have a unique and cunning way of looking the other way when the Israeli colonists set up Villages or Phootbas in Hebrew. Then, when the village is large enough they build a road through wherever they see fit to strategically block the Palestinians from their lands. Another thing this TERROR state does is repeatedly bombard the west bank with bombs from jets and tanks. Also you may ant to know that they are the only country in the middle east with nuclear capabilities at this time. The reason this country overwhelmingly supports Israel is that they spend millions of dollars paying off politicians to vote the way they want it. Look up your facts before you say anything. If that's not enough for you, You could look into the fact that some years ago a survey was done by the UN that said the Palestinians live worse than the South Africans. Although I don't know the official date you can go look it up. Thank you.

That a difficult question to answer and really depends upon your point of view. The facts are that region has been in conflict since the day of the pharaohs with each side killing the other as the opportunity arose. But ignoring that history and looking strictly at the state of Israel I would have to say no. You have on the one side Hamas and other Islamic groups who sole reason for existence is to eliminate the Jewish state and they are currently firing missiles into Jewish towns with no regard for the safety of civilians. They send suicide bombers into civilian areas to kill civilians. As such they are using terror as a tool for political end and are targeting civilians. On the other side Israel wants it to stop and as a results will respond with overwhelming force when it has identified an enemy combatant. They also have little regard for civilian casualties but that is more a result of the members of Hamas, et al, mingling in with the general population in the hope Israel will act like the US and avoid world condemnation for killing civilians. Israel doesn't care what the rest of the world thinks it only cares about its own survival. So who’s the terrorist...what’s a terrorist...it's all a matter of your point of view. But one thing is for certain this will not end until the Palestinians recognize Israel’s right to exist and mean it. Egypt and Jordan have done that and they live in peace with Israel, I'm not quite sure why the Palestinians can't.

No, a terrorist state is defined by the U.S. government as a state that intends to do harm to the U.S. As the former head of the Office of Legal Council said in his book, organizations which commit acts of violence are not considered terrorist organizations as long as they don't threaten the US.

No..... a state that takes military action doesnt qualify as terrorist because the actions are being taken by agents of the state...a terrorist state would be one that provides funding and support to groups outside the government to attack others....
