Tools.
I like tools to make me feel better.
Encourage yourself when you do something good. Work on making your life better.
Doing your job (or whatever task you are doing) better than the next person, then better than anyone. Focus on the tasks at hand. Give yourself praise when finished.
School in always good. It is not what you learn every day that you will remember 10 years from now, but that A.
Books are nice... The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck.
Good luck.

When I am feeling sad, I try to think of the most positive side of every situation. What is done is done, what can I, if anything do to make it better? That is my focus, the positive... And I whisper a prayer, always. First thing... Works for me. God bless****

sadness is usually a result of carrying around too much historical baggage....unless it's because of a recent loss of course, in which case you are supposed to feel sad.
But sadness for no apparent reason is a result of hanging onto past problems. You have to learn to let that crap go....and there is a program now that can help you learn quickly and easily just how to do that, I took it and actually got rid of so much baggage that I got off my antidepressant medications. check it out...

truly this isn't spam, it's a program I've used myself and taught to others, and it works.

I listen to upbeat music, or watch a hilarious movie. Or if you have any hobbies, try working on those to keep your mind off of whatever your sad about. :)

I usually think about something else that's not as bad, then wonder how the characters in my story would react.
