Because for some reason white people just let it happen. I don't think I've ever heard of a black person being put on TV to apologize for saying "cracker" or some other racist remark. But we all saw what happened to Kramer, didn't we? It's a common double standard that white people shouldn't let happen.

It's because a lot of white Americans feel guilty about America's racist past. And they're afraid to stand up for themselves when a minority makes negative or racist remarks about whites.

I think it is all stupid. Any sort of racism is bad. Being racist towards white people is not making society any more equal. People have made anti-semitic remarks to me and thought it was not racist because I am also white.

It's not at all acceptable. I have noticed, however, that whites have a tendency to attach the word "racist" to just about anything that involves another race that they don't want to hear. There was another question on here earlier today and a student claimed that her professor was racist because he was teaching a class about European colonization of what are now third world nations and had the audacity to imply that Europeans might have played role in their [the indigenous populations] modern day plight.
Another example is all of the links that are provided to what are supposed to be hate crimes. A review of the stories so inter-racial crime but no hate crimes as they were simply robberies gone wrong, etc. and were not predicated on race.
Not saying that there aren't real instances of racism towards white, just saying that about 98% of the claims are unfounded.

I take exhilaration in that folk discover this term offensive, and could constantly word of this. I evaluate myself a feminist, and after a era of being against a large number of vocabulary in use I easily have come to comprehend that folk do no longer constantly propose to offend as words propose countless issues to diverse people. working example think of of newspaper headlines including "spouse saves teenager from drowning" while the story has no longer something to do with the undeniable fact that the female is married - so why use the term spouse? yet I easily have have been given used to it. And maximum people discover it much less puzzling to apply the term "guy" in assignments while relating humankind, sexist or no longer. I went on reclaim the evening marches! And could back! yet you're able to be too gentle approximately vocabulary and could evaluate it interior the context of who's making use of it and their purpose. and people would be indignant with regard to the subsequent bit...yet I easily have used the term "paki save" and by making use of this I easily have meant those with ancestors from the east who've a artwork ethic meaning that their save would be open till at last previous due - subsequently I fee them for that. (even while quite a few the staff have an argument with making epidermis touch while giving replace, yet then we are actually not allowed to take offence at that and easily i do no longer by way of fact they have saved their save open after others have closed and been verbally courteous.) it relatively isn't any concern to evade words that offend, yet such as you i've got self belief that folk are actually not constantly proceeding to be derogatory while making use of particular words. enable us to bear in mind regardless of the undeniable fact that that some people in line with probability do propose to be offensive. yet i do no longer think Harry did.
