fake eyelashes are great and lots of fun! If you've never tryed them before I advise you to buy a cheap pair at walgreens for like $2 which they are a pair of full lashes with temp glue on them. That way you can try it out for a few hours and just see if you are counfy wearing something foreign on your face. Now if you get more technical and use the individual lashes you might want to try wearing them plain for an hour or two and if you feel you want to put on mascara go for it. I would advise clear mascara just to keep them in a tighty order or a volume mascara but not a lengthening mascara because fake lashes are already making your eyes stand out more. Puting pencil or liquit liner on the rims and the top rim of your eyes also help with that POP. Just consider the type you buy because some can last you one day and some can last up to 3 weeks! so consider how long your willing to keep them on for before making a big decision.

I'm a liscensed esthetician and makeup artist. I do Lash extensions, full lashes, and eye tabs, Be extremely careful putting on mascara on the false lashes, You can damage the glue, and the lashes won't last as long. If you want them to stand out more. Put mascara on the outer lashes. Naturally those are the longest lashes we have. Adding length or mascara to those lashes on the outer corners will make a world of difference! good luck!

Dear CandyCan,
You know I have never worn fake eyelashes either, but I bet the mascara would make them look a little less fake. That is just one woman's opinion about beauty.

If the finished mascara element isnt operating for you why dont you try fake eyelashs, yet get them professiobnally performed. It very last about 3 weeks i imagine, and it may provide a probability to attempt it out to verify what you want more suitable ideal. :)

I would suggest buying lashes that already gives you the look you want without the mascara. When you keep your fake lashes clean they look fresher longer and they are easier to reuse. I would suggest applying mascara to your natural lashes so that they curl into the fake lashes better. This will give you a better blend.

You don't have to put mascara over fake eyelashes, but you can if you want to emphasize them. Just don't be too ruff so they want fall off!! Stay close to the tips of the falsies. If you get too close to where they are glued then they might completely come off, or that could weaken the glues bond to your lashes and they will get looser and looser as time goes by, and then fall off sometime when you are out somewhere (it happend to me, but it was just Halloween... so oh well!)

I always put mascara on over my fake lashes, it helps them stick and blend in with my real ones so they look more "done" and natural.

it really depends on who you are.
i would add mascara if the natural color of my eyelashes doesnt blend well with the color of the falsies. so you dont have to.
hope i helped :]
