I get answers like this:
you have air in fuel injection lines.
might have burnt out the fuel pump. as for the other things I

thing you need to take in and get worked on. i am sad to report that you may have messed up your fuel pump.

will a pour in fuel line cleaner at least make it drive?

There may be some damage, but 2 things could help.
1) Replace in line fuel filter.
2) Fuel additive may help
after this, professional help would be advised.

If the fuel pump is (and it probably is ) in the gas tank then when you ran it out of gas all the crap got sucked onto the "sock' (filter) that covers the fuel pump intake plugging it up. Try rocking the car as hard as you can for a bit to see if it will wash off enough to let the car run. If that does not work you will have to drop the tank, pull the pump out and clean or replace the "sock"

Your fuel pump requires a certain amount of fuel to run .Once you have ran that out and still try to start or run the car the pump still activates even though their is no fuel. You properly killed the motor in the fuel pump. good luck i hope all gos well.

Get more gas in tank. 2 gallons is not enough, fuel pump is getting air.

An old dirty fuel filter can stop gas from reaching your fuel injectors. Also a car that old may have clogged fuel injectors. Unfortunately the older the car, the more things it could be.

May be as simple as a clogged fuel filter from dragging the crap from the bottom of the tank, Cheap and fast; start there
