Legalize Marijuana and tax the hell out of it.
This way all you conservatives won't have to shell out any money AND you get free health care.
No thanks necessary.

Now there is a liberal idea that even I can live with. I will thank you anyway, you deserve a hearty bravo, and I will also throw in a salmon.

There are 2 parts to your suggestion.

1. Legalize Marijuana
2. Tax the hell out of it

Number 1 is possible. Number 2 will not be feasible, because over-taxing something will make it go underground and make it illegal if someone doesn't want to pay taxes.

So, if you want to tax it, it cannot be treated any different from tobacco.. it should not be exorbitantly taxed.

I'd support this plan. However, I have no source of data to guesstimate how much money such a tax could yield compared to the costs we face. Still, I'd support it. You could lump prostitution in their too.

There will never be enough taxed money to pay for "Free" Socialized Healthcare.

There are simply too many Americans. Government run Industries' costs get blown way up beyond what it would cost in the private sector, as shown time and time again.

Government will want to force us to live to their standards of life, in order to receive their services, which means smoking will be out... uh oh, how we gonna pay for it then?

We will become slaves paying for our own oppression.

Why would anybody pay for legalized pot at a high rate and a high tax (no pun intended) that is likely inferior quality when they can just buy it on the street and get good quality at a fair price and no tax?

America is uncivilised for not having a health care plan, the only advanced country not to have one.
