I have tried several attempts to fix my laptop. I recently had to format it and re-install Windows. Since then everything is working fine except the wireless modem.
I have downloaded drivers, unplugged and plugged in the hardware. I have also deleyed and reinstalled the Intel (R) software. Advice please

I am in a hot spot. My other laptop here works fine connected through the wireless.
I hvae gone through the remove process in Control Panel. I dont think the laptop is recognising the card. How do I check this for sure?

Go to start and click on control panel, click on systems icon, click on hard ware tab, scroll down list ti wireless card and see if enabled is checked and drivers installed. You can buy a wireless adapter (USB or card style) at any computer store, it will come with soft ware to install and use.

Hi. I assume the wireless card worked before. Un-install the card in Control Panel and re-boot. If this does not work the card MAY be bad, but I would take it to a local hotspot and see if the card detects the internet.
