Hello, I wanna purchase the IMac for it's slick design and modern look. But mainly for the software like photo, band, and others. What do you think of IMac?

I have been a Mac user for 7 years and wouldn't go back to Windows even though I have it loaded on my iMac via Parallels.
Macs can now run Windows via either Bootcamp, VMWare or Parallels which means you can run a version of any program that is available.
Macs have some of the best free programs like iMovie, Garageband, iPhoto, iTunes and iDVD as well as iWork08 which is fully compatible with MSOffice.
Macs are also great with Photoshop and AutoCAD software.

I started with the original Mac in 1984 and was a Mac devotee until I was forced to change to PC in 1996 for business reasons. Last year I bought the iMAC since it can run both XP and Mac and I use it more now than the PC. It's so much nicer than PC, I just love it.

I actually only have a macbook, but I've tried my way on the iMac, and I tell you it's just fabulous! It's quick, easy, beautiful inside and out, and if you buy it soon-ish then you get the new system, leopard, which by the look is going to be revolutionary for the macs...so I say GO for it!!!

They're simply amazing and worth every penny. I have a 7 year old PowerMac G4 and because of its stability and lack of problems I convinced an uncle of mine who works for one of the biggest PC manufacturers in the world to ditch his home PCs and bought himself a MacPro to test the waters and the next week threw out his wife's PC and replaced it with an iMac. The next time they visited their daughter and her husband and kids who live across state, they had a problem with their PC... my uncle said to heck with it, I'm done fixing PC's... went and bought them the same iMac he bought for his wife.

They're simply amazing, the stability that they offer, and no computer viruses/malware...

You can download OpenOffice (which is 100% compatible with MS Office) for free from OpenOffice.org to do all of your word processing and such. I highly recommend getting Apple's office suite, iWork. Their programs are just too cool. Lots of cool templates, their powerpoint equivalent, Keynote, actually looks professional and NICE!!

I think you'll be very pleased with your iMac. They're pretty slick!
