30 minutes of relaxation and/or meditation every evening is the key.

There are several ways to relax or meditate such as:
- Have a massage
- Take a warm bath
- Sit still, concentrate on a biblical passage such as psalm 23 and connect with God.
- Do light stretching exercises
- Put all your worries on paper.

Make sure you drink no coffee in the afternoon or evening, you eat your supper before 7pm and you finish all your work or school activities as soon in the evening as possible.

Put some soothing music on your radio clock or MP3 player and set it to stop after 30 minutes.

If you follow this tips you'll sleep like a baby every night.

Good night in advance!

Try to clear your mind before going to bed. Don't think about the things that are bothering you while trying to sleep. Think of peaceful things. I've noticed that some of the last things I've thought about appear in my dreams. Also, excercising right before bed makes you energized instead of tired. So, if you excercise, do it a couple of hours before bed. If you have caffeine just before you go to bed, then that could be another factor. What is an activity that helps you clear your mind? Does typing it out help? Type all of your worries before you go to bed and then you can forget about them and feel relieved. I think that you will sleep much better if you follow my tips. If not, then perhaps you need to see a doctor to prescribe medication.

Exercise relaxation tips.
Cut out caffeine, eating late, sugars and try to focus on how important a good nights rest is. The problems will still be there when you wake up, so why not try.
Nothing worse than going through alot other than going through alot and not having the energy to fight it.
Causes depression.

Its sounds quite likely you are stressed so your mind is staying active during the night, particularly if you wake up rapidly and completely every time. I would suggest a hot bath followed by Kahlua and hot milk before bed. Don't lie there and think, read a book or watch TV until you fall asleep.

You can try to limit your physical activity to at least 5 hours before bedtime, caffeine as well. If you are looking for natural remedies you can try Melatonin tabs. They are available over the counter and mimic the natural melatonin reaction in your body to the sun and moon cycles. Try 2-4 mg about thirty minutes before you plan on sleeping.

You might want to talk to your doctor about anxiety. I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and I take xanax to control it and for the most part I get good sleep at night but I do take ambien also. I know that alot of people are againt the meds but if you can't get the anxiety under control then it will just get worse, just talk to you doctor about the options and see what he/she recommends.

temazepam worked for me, but don't us it regularly as you can become addicted and need more of it to have the required affect.

Also learning to meditate helps you to relax.

Maybe telling yourself before you go to sleep that the things you are worrying about can only be dealt with during the day.

It does sound like you're over-stressed or depressed. You need medical advice if you haven't already seeked it.

-No caffeine for several hours before you go to sleep
-Eat supper a couple hours before so you're not trying to sleep on a full stomach
-Try 'winding down' with a book or some quiet tv just before going to sleep.
-Don't use your bed for anything other than sleep(IE homework, computer, etc.). Your mind can come to associate it with activity, making it harder to fall asleep. Reserve it soley for sleep and sleep activities(reading a book before bed, etc.) so your mind will associate it with sleep.
