My parents not only cut my hair short, short, but then they doubled the sin by perming it! I was 5 and looked like a poodle. They did this right before I started school, so I had to go to school like that. Remember, first impressions make a difference. Everyone was afraid of me, including myself! Somehow, I made friends, though years later, one would confess that she tried to hide from me. Just think: That is how I began my formative years!!

No, but I did quite a few times! The worst is when I shaved my head when I was 18 or 19-now I don't really remember...I think 19...
Believe it or not, I really wasn't under the influence of anything other than stupidity...But I actually got complemented on it a lot. Thank God I have a nice head!

Well seeing where I am female, and my parents wanted a male, after the age of 5, I pretty much had a wiffle and was dressed like a boy. Talk about having gender issues.
Ironically, I still keep my hair extremely short. Go figure!

yeah...I had really long mid back hair (so pretty) and my mom was sick of brushing it because it was so long and I would cry when she brushed it. So she cut it like a bowl hair cut. SO UGLY!! yeah looked like a bowl was put on my hair and cut around it...if that wasnt bad enough she shaved the neck part! yuk!

My Dad did when I was four. My hair has never grown right since.
I now cut my hair every week or two to a size 2.

my mom screwed with my hair every year until i turned 12 and i learned to use a scissor on my own. its really traumatic, the things she used to do. thank god my hair grew back because if it didn't people would still mistake me for a boy.

Yes I too was a victim of parental hair abuse. We need to write to FHCC (Fair Hair Cut Commision) and have this outlawed.
