They do pay off if you have a major component as engine or tranny go out, it's one of those deals where if you have it nothing will happen if you don't you may have to pay a big repair bill down the road or you could get lucky and have no problems it's a toss up

Like all insurance policies an extended warranty is a good idea. Most 3rd party used car service contracts either don't cover the parts that break the most or when a covered part does break you have to fight to get it paid. Plus it may be difficult to find a service center that will honor the warranty and be willing to work with the provider to get paid. An extended warranty from the manufacturer is generally a much better policy. Be aware, none of them are cheap.

I don't know because when you do extend your warranties you gonna have to pay a high monthly payment or if you don't get it will something bad might happen later and that's depends on what car you have and how much its worth when you bought i but i will say if you own Honda or Toyota. i think is better now to extend your warranties because it will last you longer and remember after a years they car dealer whom you bough your car from might far get about you or try to put something off if something goes wrong with the car. so its depends on the model and the brand of the car and the warranty agreement some brand like Hyundai or GM or even Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep offer a 100000 miles warrant. so consider that first. good luck.

Yes without question they are worth every penny as long as you get the best coverage and don't shop price! There is an old saying in the warranty business.....a good warranty is not cheap and a cheap warranty is no good! I guarantee you that any unsatisfied extended warranty customers purchased a cheap warranty.

Ask yourself the simple question: would a dealer (or insurance company) sell an extended warranty if it were not profitable for them? The anser is an unmitigated NO. It's gambling, and like all casino games, the house has the advantage. Sure, you may drop a tranny and come out ahead, but odds are you won't get your money's worth.

No. If a company makes a quality product, then the notion of an extended warranty is ridiculous. Once a salesman asks if I want to purchase one, I usually look at him like he's soiled his pants in front of me and walk away.
If you think an extended warranty is necessary, I suggest you shop around.

I work for an extended warranty and not to toot our horn but I see alot of people who cancell, have under coverage or deny the warrany and then something breaks on the car and they end up spending alot more to fix it than what they would have spent on the warr. think of it this way, if your engine needs to be replaced, we usually spend about 3,0000 to replace it. transmissions about 2,000. depends on the car. if your spending 1500.00 on a contract then youa re already ahead. and you still have the rest of your tem to fix other stuff as it breaks. If you are planning on a used car, definatly get the best coverage you can. you dont know how the previos owner kept their veh. and KEEP YOUR MAINTENENCE RECORDS. very important. this is an opt out for alot of warranty companies.

Depends on the car and cost, but I bought one with my second hand Ford Explorer and haven't needed it so far... Mind you it was only a couple of hundred dollars so it was worth paying for for peace of mind.
