i was on the phone last night talk about this subject to a friend... but i really want to kno if the world is gunna end in the yr. of 2012? what are ur theories on this question?

No one can tell when the world is going to end. I remember the man that sold everything he owned and spent the money on a huge party because he "knew" that the world was going to end at new year eve 1999. I bet he feels silly now.
The end of the world has been predicted for millenniums now and we're still here.

On the History Channel they say that the Earth, Moon, Sun are all going to line up with the black hole on December 21, 2012. I don't know why this is going to end the world but that is what they are saying.

If you are referring to the end of one of the long cycles from the Mayan calender, no. It means 'the end of this age', not the end of everything. It's usually thought to be a time high in natural disasters and wars though.
So, stock up on guns and food supplies from 2011.

I thought it was supposed to end in the year 2000. We are all still alive, and no matter what happens the the earth life will go on maybe not for everyone but for some!

Yes tbird, we know what happened to the Mayans, their civilization collapsed, but the people are still there. What happened to the Romans? Their civilization collapsed (in the west) but they are still there. We call them Italians.

Sorry, just making fun of tbird. But no nothing will happen 2012, because by my prediction The great Space Empire of Zur of the Unquenchable Flatulence will decimate the planet in 2038.

No more than it ends when this day ends...or this week, this month, this year, this decade, this century, this millenium, etc. 2012 ends a cycle on the Mayan calendar, and that is all. If the Mayans were so wise, where are they now?

end? no! I don't believe it will totally end- I do believe there will be catastrophic changes that will greatly decrease the earths population and the world as we know it will no longer exist!!!
