Actually it is not the store's responsibilty. There is no law that says you have to check ID when someone is using a credit card or that we have to verify the signature. Though many many stores do this, it is not the law, nor will the company be responsible for your loss, it will be something you take up with the bank. But asap close your accounts! Report it missing the sooner the better, that way when if you need to dispute any claims they will already be aware of the situation.

I once lost my ATM card in an actual ATM. Someone was kind enough to take it into the bank and report it missing.
If you know it's home, I'd look on the floor of the last room you remember having it. When things fall, they often land in odd places.

Go to the last ATM you used.
You may have forgotten to take it out of the slot when you finished your transaction.
After a few minutes, bank ATM"s will "suck" the card back into the machine so that no one else can get it.
If this occurred, go inside the bank and ask them if they have it. They will ask for photo identification.

If you currently used it at an ATM machine and it is the kind that takes the card, you may have forgot about it and the machine kept it. This has happened to me a few times!!!

My pants, my bedside table, my dresser. If its not there or in my wallet, then no telling. Maybe check the car.

The cracks in all the chairs (including the car), the washing machine and dryer, or check my hubby's clothes..LOL.

wouldn't waste my time looking...would call the bank IMMEDIATELY to cancel the card b4 someone else found it and started running up charges!
