how do you solve this, cubic feet to cubic inches,
then cubic inches to cubic feet?

1foot = 12 inches
1 cubic feet = 1foot × 1foot × 1foot
= 12 inches × 12 inches × 12 inches = 1728 cubic inches.
1 inch = 1/12 feet
so 1 cubic inch = 1/1728 cubic feet

There are 1728 cubic inches in a cubic foot.

Just multiply any x cubic inches by 1728 to get x cubic foot.

well think about it. how many inches are in a foot?
if you come up with 12 then you have it right. so just add the cubic inches and multiply by twelve,
or divide the cubic feet by twelve and you will have the cubic inches.

Divide cubic inches by 1728 to get cubic feet. multipkly cubic feet by 1728 to get cubic inches. 12X12X12 is the factor here.

1 ft = 12 inches

cube booth side of the equation

(1 ft)^3 = (12 inches )^3

1 cubic ft = 1728 cubic inches --------eqn 1

1 cubic inches = 1/1728 cubic ft -------eqn 2

______cubic ft * 1728 cubic inches/cubic ft (cubic ft to cubic inches)

______cubic inches * cubic ft / 1728 cubic inches ( cubic inches to feet)
