Ok...Im 33 weeks pregnant. Also, it was confirmed by an ultrasound (first-time). I dont have periods...So in that gestation age would the extra 2-3 weeks be added into it as it would in an normal pregnancy for someone who HAS periods STILL be added into how far along I am? So to speak that I have "technically" been pregnant for 30-32 weeks?

If 33 weeks gestation was confirmed by an ultrasound, I would go with that calculation, just keeping in mind that it is your "best guess" and baby might arrive a week or two "early" or "late."

It depends on when you had the first ultrasound. An ultrasound at 7-9 weeks is more accurate at calculating gestation than one done at 30+ weeks. Also, a due date is calculated from the first day of a normal period plus 9 months & seven days. As you don't have periods ultrasound is your best indication of how far along you are. Besides a normal pregnancy can be anywhere from 38-42 weeks long, so don't worry too much about those 2 weeks before conception as your baby will generally tell you when it's time to be born by giving off hormones that will induce labour. GOOD LUCK & ENJOY!!!

The ultrasound helps the doctors determine how old the fetus is by how big he/she is. The gestation age starts when the baby was conceived, not from going by the LMP. The ultrasound is what's most accurate, especially since you don't have periods, and probably don't know the exact date of conception.

Congrats!

The ultrasound is the most accurate to determine how far along you are. So you are 33 weeks pregnant.

Due dates are guessed at using the circumference of the baby's head as a guide....there's always room for error. By your statement, if you give 7 days of March, and almost 7 days of December...that's 8 and a half months. That leaves a small window, but not a bad window.

Just go with the date you've been given. A due date is simply an estimate anyway, and babies are usually born within a 2 week period in either direction of that due date.

I too would go with what the ultrasound is saying you are.
