Hi, I did conceive off my first round of Clomid. I have PCOS and had not ovulated in well over 6 months before we began. I too had bad pain in both of my ovaries. I went in for an ultrasound a week before my expected period so the doctor could check my ovaries and follicles and found out I dropped between 4 and 6 eggs (they were unsure of 2 of them because they could have been cysts rather than corpus luteums)! Needless to say I did get pregnant, the dr thinks I was initially carrying triplets because he found 3 sacs, 2 of normal size and another much smaller one. And then at 7 weeks I lost baby number 2. It was very devastating and heartbreaking but we are so happy to be pregnant with one seemingly very healthy baby right now! Regardless of everything we went thru, I would take Clomid again in a second because it really did work well for me.
p.s. I took it days 5-9 too. And yes Clomid does work for PCOS becuase I have a severe case and the drs wanted to try Clomid on a lark because basically my only other option was IVF which is soooo expensive so you can't believe everything you read!

Hi!! I also take Clomid days 5-9 and this was my third cycle of it. I am now 3 dpo and very hopefull!!!!!!! My first cycle I took 50 mg a day and I didn't ovulate and my cycle was 30 days long. My second cycle I took 50mg a day again and had very mild ovulation pains around my ovaries and ovulated day 19 and had a 39 day cycle but didn't conceive. This time I took 100 mg per day and had moderate ovulation pains around my ovaries (primarily my left one) and I ovulated day 20. My doctor said Clomid makes a lot of women ovulate later in there cycle and therefor they have a longer cycle overall. So it is nothing to worry about. I was a little freaked out when my cycle was 10 days longer than normal last month. Also my doctor said for this reason to not test until I am at least 18 dpo. I know I don't have the answer you are looking for but every cycle you take it your chances increase. I think like almost 80% of women conceive by the 3rd or 4th cycle. Best wishes and stay positive. Email me if you need to chat.

Clomid, what can I say? It doesn't work for everyone.
My husband and I were trying for 13 years for a baby. FINALLY my doctor put me on clomid. The first month I was already into my cycle by two days off. We took it anyways and nothing. The second month, we did everything as told on Yes day 5. When it was time for my period... guess what? I was PREGNANT! After 13 years, 5 little pills worked!
Good Luck!!!

The first month I took Clomid I had a cysts burst on my ovary and it was the worst pain.
I did get pregnant off the 3rd round of clomid. That month I had used the OPK and pinpointed exactly when I ovulated.
I wish you the best of luck and lots of baby dust

I used clomid with both of my pregnancies. The first one took three months. The second one took six. Keep in mind, clomid just helps you ovulate. Even women who ovulate normally don't always get pregnant the first month they try. Good luck!

it relatively is going to artwork do no longer trouble, each and every of the superb additionally be attentive to Clomid will jumpstart ovulation in 80% of sufferers, and approximately 40% to 40 5% of girls people making use of Clomid gets pregnant interior six cycles of use. making use of Clomid for better than six cycles isn't often cautioned. If six cycles bypass by making use of, and being pregnant isn't carried out, different possibilities may be seen.

No, I was on Clomid for 2 1/2 years at the max dosage when the recommended time is 3 cycles then advance to more stronger fertility drugs. Found out later, that Clomid does not work for women who suffer from PCOS.
Did they run blood work to make sure your levels were in line?
