I am well aware there is a few that do, and I strongly support them. However dispite the fact that occupied territories in Israel don't offer the same human rights that are guarenteed in the main land of Israel, Israel is a nation that is supported by the west and human rights abuses of civilians contradict Jewish ethics. Because of that Israel should be malleable to change through peaceful protests because simply not condoning violence and protesting peacefully while spreading media of being shot for doing it is only going to further weaken Israeli support, of Jews and citicenze of western nations see peaceful protesters hurt and never hear about incidences of Palestinian violence, western nations would sanction Israel as well as synagogs run by rituous Jews may even put pressure on Israel. It worked well in british occupied India and its already working real well in Burma, so it would be pretty easy to peacefully spread dissent about Israel because their supposed to be a democracy.

So why are the Palestinians using violence, and why aren't the rituous Palestinians doing hunger strikes to tell their own people to stop resorting to violence? If there really are so-called human rights abuses in Israeli occupied territories, taking bullets for expressing the truth is what should make true martyrs not blowing up Israeli school buses and shopping malls. Such actions as attacking civilians makes it hard for westerners to find credibility in claims of human rights abuses. As a Jew I support Israel but if they are violating human rights I would believe otherwise, I would rather be without a state and oppressed then to have a state and be oppressers. Since the Jewish religion strongly preaches human rights, so acting peacefully will cause Jews and westerners to take action, because we don't want our religious image to be tarnished by a governments so-called hypocracy. So prove to us your being abused, disarm, protest peacefully, encourage other palestinians to disarm, and..

and if they fire at you regardless; thats the time you become true martyrs (peacful ones) instead of arming yourselves with bombs and AK-47s, instead arm yourselves with polaroid and cam corder and film as you take the bullets. If incidents of Palestinian violence ceases for a extremely long period of time and Palestinians are still taking bullets for peaceful dissent (as claimed), Israeli support will be rapidly abandoned by western nations and Jewish organizations. It's similer to how many bank robers rob banks because they want to feed their families, however doing so by stick-ups and robbing the bank, people will no longer sympathize his motive and only veiw him as an animal robbing banks rather then a human feeding his family. So the rober should have been proactive and used social support or welfare service instead. Then people will want to help him. The same applies to Palestinians and using peace instead of violence, because acting violently will only make you look like...

Although I have known Palestinians that support peaceful means but do show frustration in the fact that terrorists are disrupting their credibility and I would be glad to help them out in that case.

Just before reaching out Israeli reform, first protest to your own people to stop using failed methods such as terror. Use any means nessicary (peaceful of course) such as hunger strikes, and openly criticizing militant organizations (even if the militants will kill you for it. Do it regardless)That would show the western world that Palestinian people are taking initiative and may even encourage Israel to become leniant and ease restrictions (or possibly offer your protection).

I taken a class in Islam as an elective in college, the Koran encourages martyrdom in peaceful means (like how the Burmese people are bravely taking bullets by Junta police and tape recording and photographing it with their last few breaths.) it only talks about violent martyrdom when dealing with psychopathic enemies that have no sympathy for the hurt and can't be negotiated with. Israel is not one of those nations, they are a parlimentary democracy and its government is very malleable to political change. So violence would not be the way to go.

Because they have been raised as terrorists and martyrs. All it will take for a peaceful resolution is for the Palestinians to stop listening to their Arab brethren's incitements to fight the Israelis and instead, stop the bombing, rocketing, and terrorist attacks. The Israelis would like nothing better than to have a peaceful relationship in the region.

Excellent point.

Terror has never achieved anything.

I think you'll find that much of the problem isn't with the Palestinians, but with their Arab backers. Yes, financial support for the Palestinian uprising comes from all over the Arab world. None of these people are interested in a peaceful solution. They benefit from continued violence and unrest.

Many of the surrounding Arab countries fear that a peaceful Palestinian solution will create problems in their country. By maintaining the violence, they can distract their own people from the oppressive rule that suppresses dissent, civil rights, women's rights, etc.

That's easy - because - with the exception of mainly the Israeli Palestinians most of them are brainwashed to be miserable people who think sucide bombing is an act of honor.

Good Luck!!!
