Panic selling = buying opportunity. There is absolutely no reason for a cash machine like 3M to be down 5% in less than two hours when their 3rd quarter results BEAT analyst expectations.
This is when the dollar cost averaging principle in investing pays off. If you're in for the long haul, now is when you add to your portfolio, not when panic buying is taking place.
Like Warren Buffet once said: "When the market gets nervous, I get greedy. When the market gets greedy, I get nervous."

No Blame you should be blaming banks which have become more aggresive with there lending to giving loans to people who should have never received them in the first place. It is also coming to an end of another trade cycle which will lead to a small time drop in growth.

The prices that investors attach to companies' future earnings is inherently volatile. It is a duty of a government to ensure an honest and an orderly market, but not a universally profitable one. 'Riches: the savings of the many in the hands of the few'. Why do leftist newspapers have 'investment' sections?

I just saw a bunch of libs jumping for joy outside a welfare office. At first, I didn't know why....but now I do...they're excited about the market dropping a few points.

I played the anti-dollar play and invested in foreign markets, so as the dollar goes down their currency goes up, it's hard to lose that way. Even if their stocks go down our dollar is also losing ground.
I hope you understand what the intent was here.

Why not blame liberals (def. Liberal- anyone who is not Christian or not ultra-conservative). We should blame liberals because they are responsible for 8 years of Bush.

i personally dont think the president is to blame when it goes up our down...but if Bush supporters are going to insist on giving him credit when it goes up...its only logical he should be blamed when it falls
