I didn't see it but I know the kinda thing you're talking about. There is no way graphic images of abortion should be shown to the public. Abortion is a very difficult, personal thing, and many women go through a tremendous amout of emotional pain and turmoil when dealing with it, all images like these do is cause people to judge those that have had abortions, and no one has any place to do that.

I didn't watch it, which I am glad about! I am sure the images were not nice. I am not judging either. I am sorry you were upset. It may have opened some peoples eyes who use abortion as birth control?
I do think however the time limit needs to be much reduced, 24 weeks is not acceptable. I had a prem at 26 weeks, thank god she survived and she was fighting for her life with babies born at 24 weeks the abortion limit in the UK (was 28 weeks in the 80's I believe). Babies have lived under 24 weeks.

I don't doubt for one second it was very unpleasant.

But I disagree that things that are unpleasant shouldn't be broadcast. You should be warned that its nasty of course, and you should make the decision whether you want to watch or not. But at the end of the day, the remote control was there, you should have used it. Those of us who could stomach it, and were interested in the topic for whatever reason (hell, people should have an understanding of the topic, and I say that as someone who is more or less pro choice, or perhaps the interest is medical) shouldn't be denied the opportunity to learn about the topic.

The people being filmed would also have given their consent, you can't just walk into an abortion clinic with a camera and start recording.

What is worse, the image or the reality?
A lot of people don't realize what is happening when they get an abortion. I think it is best for people to know before they are faced with such a decision.
However, I have to admit that pictures of unborn children being killed tend to turn off everybody's brain. It's so horrible that people get angry. Some get angry at the person performing or permitting the abortion. Others get mad at the person who shows them the picture.

I saw it, and found it extremely distressing, especially when you could quite clearly make out the different body parts in the bowl, those tiny little feet, I will never forget that horrible sight.

What I found poignant was when the doctor said that on one room in the hospital you would have a woman terminating her 24 week feotus, and in another room a 24 week old baby would be fighting for life after being born premature.

I am 17 weeks pregnant and I think they should have showed them images, my partner wants me to have a abortion even at this last stage (and to be honest I have thought about it) I hope he watched the program to fully understand what he is asking me to do, we as women need to fully understand the full facts regarding abortion, I am very pro-choice but I do think the age should be dropped to 16 weeks, the images were horrible but ignorance is no excuse but I stress again I do think people should have the choice.

it was horrible i watched it too. it was the around 24 week abortion that hit me. that was really upsetting. i truly think abortion should be taken from the 26 or is it 24? week down to about... 18 or less. i think anything over 20 is just wrong.

my son was born at 28 weeks, hes a happy 8 yr old now, the law should be dramaticly changed to bring down the time limit to have a abortion.

Didnt watch it,but i do have several vcr tapes on live child murder's being committed, and them pulling baby parts out of the female.I'm glad you cried, that show's you are at least human still.Abortion,as you people call it(such a nice medical term)is actually murder, how would YOU like to be pulled apart and NO ONE to defend YOU or to come to YOUR aid! Wouldnt like it,would you? But it's ok for you to murder a helpless, defenseless, baby, that cant scream for help, cant call 911 and has nowhere to run! You filthy, wicked satanic minded people who justify murder because the gov'mnt says it's ok,doesnt justify your wicked murdering of these babies(Not fetuses, these are human's,not animals,in the making folks)and to justify your wicked, satanic sexual sins, and then murder your baby because you sinned, you deserve Hellfire right this minute! Dont think they had the "right" to show it,i'm glad they did, unfortunately you will go on in your wicked minded state and continue to think that butchering children is ok! God will hold you filthy, wicked people accountable!

It's an attempt to manipulate people by their emotions - not by reason.

If you calmly think about it you'd realize that religious freaks and politicians should never be allowed to make medical decisions for other people.
