With Democratic Congressman Pete Stark of California
relating of cutting off of heads for Bush's amusement, is this one of those comments that indeed needs an apology to the citizens and American troops? The Democrats seem to be getting good at blurting out these amazing degrading words from their mouths. Representatives in D.C. never used to say
things like this in public. They don't seem to care anymore.

An apology is not enough! A generation ago, he would have had to resign immediately!

If this isn't beyond the pale, then what on Earth is? He said we were killing innocent civilians and that Bush was getting soldiers' heads blown off for amusement. So he smears both our troops and their commander in chief.

But has he ever complained about the people who really ARE blowing civilians' heads off? You know, the ones we are fighting AGAINST?

The fact that there is ANY sizable portion of the electorate that is not calling for this person's IMMEDIATE removal from office tells me that this country is in deep, deep trouble.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm glad I'm not a younger man.

Gordon Brown made it extremely clean that Damian McBride's behaviour grew to become into completely unacceptable. some people discover 'sorry' is the toughest word, yet 'sorry' is oftentimes used too oftentimes. while you're sorry, then you are accepting some blame. the united kingdom best Minister has greater substantial issues to do than verify out all people who artwork in Downing highway and vet their e-mails. some people are born idiots and a few people grow to be idiots. McBride ought to be sectioned. there is no such factor as a secure email.

He should be held accountable for what he said but you watch the Liberal press will ignore it or bury it and the Democrats will attack someone else to shift attention you mark my words it is the number 1 play in the Democrats playbook

Congress in general seems to have degraded down to play school mentality. It's rather sickening to watch these so called grown people that represent us act with no class. No wonder there is so little respect for politicians these days.

You waste your time asking for an apology from a liberal. Yes, on occasion, they will make a public apology, when they are caught doing something they shouldn't. That doesn't mean they are sorry for the behavior, just sorry they got caught.

No matter how much I say it, it bears repeating. Freedom requires responsibility. We have the freedom of speech and the responsibility to use that freedom WISELY.

I, for one, am tired of apologies and would absolutely love to see a wise politician who can use their words to effect positive change.

If the DNC does not call for his resignation over this, they are hypocrites.
His remark was purely slanderous.
Vicious and untrue... with intent of malice... there is NO denying it... and it's just disgusting that a supposedly educated man would say such a thing.
It's the type of remark I'd expect from some of the left-wing liberal nuts here on YA who don't think first, just make comments for effect... but from a Congressman?

But he will not be asked to step down.
Nancy Pelosi should have been made to vacate the Speaker position for her act of treason in going to Syria illegally but she wasn't.
Hillary Clinton should have been made to apologize for besmirching the honour of General Petraeus for political gain, but she wasn't.
Harry Reid should have been made to apologize for misquoting Rush Limbaugh and using his position to try to get him fired... but he wasn't (and Rush is getting the last laugh on that one).
Jack Murtha should have been made to apologize for calling Marines later found innocent "cold blooded killers" without even knowing the facts of the case, but he wasn't.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should have been made to apologize to the Duke LaCrosse players that they declared guilty before they even had a trial... only to be proven wrong... but they weren't.

So what does all of this tell you?
If you're a Liberal Democrat, you can say or do ANYTHING you want and you're not held accountable for it. They are so drunk on power they believe they're above society and the law.

How low will they go! When will the American people say, "Enough is Enough?" We have our young people fighting this war. We have ignoramuses in congress. Does he speak for his constituents. I would re-think voting him in again. I personally think a resignation as an apology is not enough.
We are headed for total destruction as a nation. Hang on it's going to be a bumpy ride down!

Hi speech was perfectly true right until the end. When he said the part about Bush being amused with troop deaths I immediately thought "oh boy, the right wing is going to have a field day with this".

Of course there won't be an apology or outcry from the left. The left is much too busy with their smear campaign against Rush.

Good grief, have some priorities, for crying out loud.
