Vince Guaraldi is the jazz pianist/combo leader who composed the music for the "Peanuts" (Charlie Brown) cartoon specials until his untimely death in 1976. He also had a pop hit with the song "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" in the early Sixties.

BTW: the theme song for those Charlie Brown cartoons is titled "Linus and Lucy".

The Vince Guaraldi Trio played the music for the Charlie Brown stuff (from Peanuts).

He was a real jazz musician, and had other records not connected with cartoons. He played with Cal Tjader before forming his own trio.

He died way too young.

The song is "Lioness" (or close to it), by David Benoit, a fine writer/player. You might find the video from the library under one of the TV specials, doing the animated version of the "Charlie Brown" cartoon, which first aired this, 20+ yrs. ago.
Songs from that are on his "best of" stuff.
