Everytime I see a PETA "representative" on reality TV, the news, or at school, they seem so overdramatic and insane.
Are they just passionate or bored and looking for a club to be accepted into? It seems that these are the same people that join cults.
Please note that these people are not certified representatives of PETA, just one of the many members.

They have nothing better to do and too much money. Do people realize that proteins from hunting animals are what made human beings brains grow. The innovations in weapons and tool for hunting was key in making humans intelligent. People could not have colonized many of the lands on this planet without hunting. There were ice ages where vegetation was not abundant enough to sustain a human population.

Like it or not, humans are predators and even today there is not enough grain, fruits, and vegetation to keep all of the people in the world fed. We depend on killing animals and fishing the oceans to survive as a species on this planet. Sure there are wealthy Americans that can afford to live on a strict vegetarian diet, but the human race as a whole would not be here if it were not for killing animals. We depended on animals for our clothing and shelter as well. Native Americans could not have survived the winters of the northern territories without animal fur and other products. I recommend that people just accept that humans are killers and will always be killers.

Try to tell an Eskimo that he must not hunt. How on earth would he survive? Apples and oranges don't grow in solid ice and neither does tofoo. Besides plant life is life too. Isn't killing and eating plant life still killing life on this planet. Isn't using plant life to build your house deteriorating the forest which in turn destroys animal habitat? Do these people live in a hole in the ground? Who is PETA to decide what life form has more value on this planet?

It isn't just PETA members. Look around. This also applies to religion, politics and other issues which involve the emotions. There are just some types of people who become so passionate about an issue that they go overboard.

I used to be a member of PETA, used to be a vegetarian, and still feel for non-human sentient beings. But after receiving so many newsletters with depictions of tortured animals, I had to quit...PETA apparently didn't care about torturing ME while also asking for my money for the priviledge.

I am a PETA memeber, but I dont agree with everything they do. I am against the abuse of animals and I am a vegetarian, but I do not push being a vegetarian on anyone or try to make them feel bad. It is their choice to eat meat just like it is mine not to. Not all PETA members are crazy.

And I disagree with what someone above me said. I have had meat eaters yell at me saying I am crazy. I am constantly asked if I was stuck on an island would I eat an animal and blah blah blah. Then people try and prove me wrong about not eating meat and tell me it is not healthy. I take pills to make up for the lack of protien and eat tofu. We are not all insane and people need to realize that. I feel bad about eating animals and that's all there is to it.

I don't know, I think PETA has it all wrong. They fight for distorted causes, and exploit our emotions with pictures of baby harp seals. They could do a lot of good in the world if they changed the way they view things, ever so slightly.

Because for their whole lives these people have been socially isolated outcasts. When they join PETA, they finally get some social acceptance, so they go overboard with it.

Because they don't have enough protein in their diets. See, Meat delivers alot of nutrients that are crucial for your body to function right. That includes the brain too. So lack of proteins and amino acids severely impair cognitive function ; leading to craziness, obnoxiousness , and lack of respect for other peoples personal choices. Don't believe me ? Then why don't you ever see meat eaters yelling at vegetarians and protesting at farms? Because there not crazy.

Because the lack of meat/cheese/milk from animals has starved their brains SO horribly that it's driven them crazy.

Becuase they do not realize that being overly dramatic is not as effective as actually being nomal.

I am much more inclined to listen to someone who is calm and relaxed. Dont scream at me if you want to persuade me, you know?

Well, they don't even want animal testing to cure cancer, heart disease and AIDS, so they are obviously insane anyway. Ignore everything they say.
