Thought I would have some fun with this question because so many people have so many thoughts on it.

I know it is 'ice cream' or something cold that is too easy what do you think happens when you get it though?

this is easy!
When you eat something cold like ice cubes or ice cream
It touches the roof of your mouth where mostly all the nerves are in your mouth. This is too cold for the nerves and they start to get cold and hurt because they are trying to warm the nerves while there is cold in your mouth at the sametime
This causes what we call a brain freeze.
This can be prevented by sticking your tongue to the roof of your mouth to warm the nerves so they don't have to work harder to warm the nerves
