I was hearing the radio & they went to commercials. Already the Christmas commercials have already started. During one of the christmas commercials they had Sant Claus Shout his usual ho ho ho but instead of Merry Christmas it was Happy Holidays. When will the politically correct morons realize that the majority of people don't like trying to be forced to say something different despite the attempts to shove it down our throats. I will continue to say Merry Chrsitmas & i don't care who likes it or don't like it. Where are the complaints when someone says Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa? The usual double standard must stop.

Merry Christmas, Squirrel. Isn't it interesting that the most over commercialized holiday is supposed to whisper its name? I once purchased a sealed Advent calendar for my kids that actually stated on the reverse that "Advent calendars are used to celebrate winter festivals"! Had I seen that statement (the envelope covered the writing) at first, I never would have purchased it.

I respect others' religions and expect the same courtesy in return.

That really winds me up too, there'd be all hell broken loose if we were trying to suppress the celebrations of other religions. Ok, so Christmas is becoming increasingly commercialised and it is a very in-your-face kind of thing but that's life. I love Christmas, but not in a religious sense, I love the atmosphere and build up and preperation to and for Christmas far more than the day itself. Frankly, there's no way I'm conforming to some ridiculous politically correct standard because it would suck all the magic out of something I love. And equally, I'm not going to complain every time I hear about another religious festival.

If it's December 24th or 25th it's Merry Christmas............If it's after that it's Happy Holidays...........If it's before that I like Happy Holidays too because it encompasses Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa...........That's the way I like it and the way I've always done it..........Im far removed from politically correct and always will be and I like it that way...............I just like to wish all people a Happy Holiday no matter which they celebrate.......Life is too short to worry about politically correct............CAT

I think its dumb too but then I am sort of over the commecialization of the holidays. Our family exchanges very few gifts now and our focus is on the family time, charity and spiritual aspects of Christmas. It got to the point we were spending so much time shopping (not to mention the money) that we weren't spending time together. That made no sense to me and is not what Christmas is supposed to be about. I think it is sick that the ads have already started.

If they are going to go PC then they better take off the religion off the TV and stop having songs that take about religion. like Carrie Underwoods' "Jesus take the wheel" well hell it must of went #1 for a reason.

I am not even religious but I find all this PC stuff annoying. Give back "Merry Christmas" for crying out loud.

PC smeeshee it's for the birds. We are all individuals treat us like we are.
