Christmas 2003 I took my children, then aged 11 & 7 to Disneyland Paris. On Christmas Day (bout 9pm) we were walking out of the park to go back to our hotel. We'd had a fantastic day, we'd just watched the parade & fireworks & there was a wonderful atmosphere within the crowd. The Christmas lights were beautiful & then the snow came. As my children both looked up towards the sky it was as if the crowd stepped back from them slightly. Their faces were pink from cold & full of happiness. Everything was magic. I just stood & looked at my children & that image is burned onto my brain. They looked so beautiful & happy. It was my first holiday as a single mum so it meant a lot to me. Still does. ☺

A swim in the Maldives amongst and below shoals of fish feeding on bread thrown to them from above.

Floating on my back at night and looking at the night sky 'filled' with stars and feeling as if floating with them.

Sash.

Beautiful, yet very sad. On the day my grandmother died, I had spent time with her in the hospital, and had carefully applied moisturiser to her face and hands. The last words I said were "I love you" and she replied the same.
