Hones your reflexes, improves eye hand coordination, develops team work and strategic thinking, and how to evaluate risks. Playing Half Life and Need for Speed taught me that knowing keyboard shortcuts is essential for survival, now when I work on Excel or Word, my colleagues gather round in awe to see my fingers fly on the keyboard. Trying to beat track and lap records taught me why working to a specific objective is very effective, and why it is important to measure your performance, both of which help me at work when I work on process improvement. Of course, at work I don't have the option of redeeming some points for a bigger engine, but I can achieve the same thing by telling my boss I need 'additional capacity'. A few games on my laptop or my phone keep me awake during the Steering Committee Meeting to discuss the Value Proposition of the Investment Commitment required to fix the leaking tap in the third floor pantry. But the biggest benefit of playing video games is that it helps you remember that the world won't stop turning if you take time out to blow up that alien spaceship.

Great way to pass time, get together with freinds, party. For some computer games you can play with people around the world which is pretty amazing when you think about it.

Hand to eye coordination. reaction to circumstances. yet you could be used to the pastime itself first. "What might I do in Halo 3" would not help on the line or in the journey that your place is on hearth. video games do not mirror certainty.

an enhanced ability to focus on a single project at a time, blocking out all annoying distractions...such as eating, sleep, and basic hygeine.

also an improved mental and physical reaction time, improved hand-eye coordination.

and best of all it can disable unwanted social life.

Oh and did I mention it's fun?

Games can help pass the time, plus improve hand/eye coordination. They can also help exercise your brain, for better memory.

-improve hand - eye coordination or reflex,
-improve thinking by playing games with really hard puzzles
-great stress reliever like hack and slash games, if you're really angry play games where you take on virtual enemies instead of killing someone or shooting them dead...
