Hmm.. I know in my first ultrasound I don't remember SEEING the heartbeat. Did he actually LISTEN for it? That's what my doctor did to confirm the heartbeat. And he told you that for certain you'll miscarry? Doesn't sound like a great doctor. I'd go see someone else sweety. And don't stress out. It could be that your doctor's an idiot.

If the sac has grown that is a good sign. At least there are signs of life (growth) even though no heartbeat was detected. Did the sac measure 7 1/2 weeks? I miscarried at 7 1/2 weeks but the sac measured 4 weeks. So it had stopped growing at 4 weeks. As long as it is growing (in my opinion) there is hope. I started having mild cramps in the evening and then heavy bleeding in the middle of the night. A little spotting and cramping are normal at 7 1/2 weeks but mine was excessive. Keep your chin up & hang in there.

I had a miscarriage and I experieneced ALOT of bleeding. My girlfriend also had one and she had miniaml bleeding at first then later on more but she had alot of abdominal pain where I did not until the actual miscarriage.
There are MIRACLES in life sweetie. Never ever give up. You might be the exception to the rule here. I had a child with cancer at age 4. I was told by all these doctors she wouldn't survive the year. On top of that, if it could go wrong it did, she had to have the worst scenario of everything. My daughter is now 15 1/2. She beat that first year (with alot of struggle) and she has 11 more and counting on them! I know of another child who ia also of miracle wonders in that area.
I also had a 3 month premie. I was told during the labor my baby wouldnt survive the labor. That baby is now 17 years old. Top student in his class, although he has asthma stemming form a lung disease he first had.
I have two babies I was told I wouldn't. I promise there are MIRACLES in our existance. Hope and prayer. Those are your best chances hun. Don't you give up either one!!!! I will be sharing the same with you from here sweetie!!!!! Anyone reading this, could also add a prayer and little hope for her.
Let me also add.........I was told I would NEVER be able to have children. I'd conceive and then have misscarriages. I did have a miscarriage my first pregnancy, but I had 4 more after and they all survived. I admit I had all high risk pregnancies and I went through alot having them, but we can't all be catorigized because there always is that one.......

Second opinions are always a good idea especially in a case like this. Chances are (I'm so sorry to say) your Dr. is right. I had a miscarriage years ago & up until the second I started to bleed I felt fine. No back problem, nothing. I was 12 weeks at the time. I hope this helps?
Don't give up! I didn't and now I have a beautiful 21 year old Daughter. Bless you!!!

Speaking from experience...
I ovulated late when I conceived. I told my doc this, but she still insisted I was farther along than I thought.
She gave me an ultrasound at what she thought was 6 weeks, and they said the same thing to me. They saw the sac, but they didn't see anything else.
They told me to come back in one week. I did - and guess what - there was my baby plain as day! I got to see and hear the heartbeat! Turns out I was just farther behind than the doctor thought (go figure).
What a difference a week makes!
Keep optimistic. Miracles happen :)
Good luck to you - I wish you all the best!

Miscarriage is the act of your body cleansing itself. The loss of the baby results in the miscarriage.
Some times in the beginning of a pregnancy the ovum and fetus fail to grow for a slew of reasons, they simply arent viable, genetically or for other factors they just dont grow. When this happens the body sheds the pregnancy. Its not a failure of your body, its a failure of that particular egg and particular sperm, like the genetic material is faulty.
annnnnyway, in the first 13 weeks all babies develop very quickly and at exactly the same rate, down to a few days inbetween. So if the ultrasound says you're 7 weeks, you're 7 weeks.
Wait it out. Nothing is impossible. If you have lost this pregnancy, dont worry, you will get pregnant again. I know what it is to lose and theres nothing to say that could ever make it feel any bette, other than to know it will result in a baby soon. I promise.
