if a person works under the table that means he doesnt file a tax return.. my x hasnt filed one in years.. he should file one but doesnt because he doesnt want me to have the money so i'm told! thats okay when or if he turns 65 he would receive social security.. you have to put in to get!

You have a person that you were married to and had children with in your life who doesn't want any part of it. I personally think he is a grub, however at this point letting go might be the thing to do. I only say this because when energy and time are spent on things that make us upset, it makes us unhealthy and unhappy. Let it go maybe, even though he isn't doing the right thing and move on with your life. Your child will benefit from it and so will you. If you want to though, you can hire a PI, find one with really good references so that you don't get gouged with bogus charges for things...you can chase him down, have him locked up again and then repeat that process time after time.....Which seems like the better life for you? I wish you the best and am sorry for both you and your child/ren.

We'll we know he is a Dead Beat DAD. How to collect Child Support? You can follow him and videotape him working and were he is working, Forward this tape to your lawyer, he will then file papers to withhold child support from your Ex, if they deny he works there they will pay a hefty fine for paying him cash and not following court orders. Catch him in the act while following him you may end up finding out where he lives. Don't hire a Private Investigator they charge to much and give you information after you have paid them a fortune, If you are determined to get what is owed to you, use a friends car and wear a wig so he can not recognize you. YOU CAN DO IT!!! I would not force the issue in putting him in jail, if he is in Jail you won't get a dime if someone does not bail him out and it sounds like he has no family so they are not going to bail him out. In Illinois they now suspend Drivers Licenses for non-payment, Walmart in Indiana has a Dead Beat Dad Wall to post his picture and how much he owes. Withhold his Federal Tax Return eventually he will have to file. Best Choice follow him and CATCH HIM IN THE ACT!!!!

Well the courts already know about all this so all you can do is wait it out. At some point they will catch up with him but if he is fine with jail there isn't much you can do. He will have to pay the money eventually. You just have to not rely on the child support and raise your kids as if there was no such thing and the little bit that you get is it.

Eventually he will have to pay the back support....can you have his tax check intrercepted? ( is that even a word, lol ? )....if you know where he is...keep calling and have him picked up.....you'll have to do leg work to try to keep up with him. You said you dont know where he works....if he works, THEY can find him by his social.....if he is working for cash....that's a whole different story. Good luck.

Try USA Kids, they track him down and they get a precentage of what is collected. There are other agencies too that will assist in this matter and they are on the internet google child support and see what comes back. And it is extremely sad that a father can abandon his children and not look back nor feel obligated to support them emotionally, physically, pshcologically, spiritually or financially. He is worst than a deadbeat but he is the one that is missing out on all the accomplishments of your children and while it is hard, you will be rewarded by staying and struggling with them and when he does want a relationship with them, it will be hard for him to establish it.

Maybe this can make you feel better. I know where my ex is, but child support enforcement REFUSES to issue him a warrant because they can't "prove" he lives there. I don't have place of my own, I live by someone else's rules even though I'm grown, everyone calls me a loser, I have no health insurance and a myriad of health issues, my "best friend" constantly talks about how much money she makes, and I may be getting kicked out on the street with my kids. Hope this makes you feel lucky!! Good luck!!

Yes, realize that you can't squeeze blood from a stone.
I'm sure you could use the child support money, but is it worth all this anxiety?
I don't understand what you mean by "the bail money goes on me".... are you bailing him out? If so, why?
Maybe move on. What comes around, goes around.
take care.

local child support office is best place... these days they suspend license if they are behind... so be sure that happens... he should pay up after that... =) good luck! =) also, child support should put him in jail... they have access to all records... addresses... social security, they know if he's working or not... even if under the table... there are ways they can check his credit report for his current address, too! also, they put on his credit report that he owes, as well! good luck! =) oh gee... I just looked back, thanks Grant! I will go to that site too, lol! =)

In this day and age I can't believe he exists without a credit card, phone, utilities or something in his name.
For $39.95 to $49.95 you can get access to ussearch.com and get his current address. Then you can search court records where he lives to see if he owns anything. You don't pay ussearch unless you think they have a match. Hop over there, plug in his name and age and see what you come up with.
Good luck, bad ex's suck.
