It is based on the true story of some stupid kid who goes camping or whatever in Alaska without any provisions, supplies, or even a map and he dies of starvation. Why would anyone go see a movie about this total idiot who dies from his own ignorance?

I'm just curious as to why people would want to go watch it. Its just a question, sheesh.

"Higher level of thinking"? Well, my master's degree is in cultural anthropology and I just started working on my PhD in human geography, I'm sure my "level of thinking" surpasses most. The fact is this kid was ill prepared, wasn't thinking clearly, and had no plan as to what would happen to him if things went wrong. There is a difference between being idealistic and being smart. I just don't think a movie should been made about him.
