9 - (4 x 7) = - 19

(3 – 2√7)(3 + 2√7)
= 9 - 4(7)
= 9 - 28
= -19

to solve for that
use the product of sum and difference
in which you will square the 1st term and do also the same with the second term but the sign between the first and the second is (-)
so the square of 3=9
square of (2squareroot of 7)=4(7)=28 (the squareroot of 7 became 7 because the square of a radical in squareroot is the number itself inside the radical sign
so using 9 and 28 the answer will be
9-28 (you can still simplify this)
the final answer will be
-19

Product of first terms + product of inside terms + product of outside terms + product of last terms:
3^2 + (-2 times 7^1/2) + (2 times 7^1/2) + (-2 times 7^1/2)(2 times 7^1/2) = 9 -2(7^1/2) + 2(7^1/2) - 4(7) =
9 + 0 [sum of middle terms] - 28 =
-19
