As has already been observed by one answerer, presidents have little or no to do with the economic device. The housing slump is fairly like the dot com bubble of the previous due '90s, the place people have been making an investment money they did no longer have, and it lastly fell by. there became a recession on the top of Clinton's term (no longer as thoroughly stated on as this one because of the fact the MSM is professional democrat) that bled into Bush's term initiating in 2001. The gasoline value disaster is the fault of the loony leftist edge of the democrats who snuck in regulations and rules that stopped drilling for oil, development new oil refineries, and likewise stopped progression of nuclear skill. If drilling had started in ANWAR in 'ninety 5, the way it became planned, and if we would endured off shore drilling as nicely as increasing nuclear skill flowers, we would be advantageous at the instant. growing to be nutrients expenses continually take place whilst different aspects of the economic device slump; shortages take place, transportation expenses advance and so on. this is a domino impression. people who understand economics - which republicans do greater advantageous than democrats because of the fact republicans are much greater a ingredient of the corporate and commerce communities - know that blaming a president is organic politics. that is election time, so the two aspects will blame one yet another for all way of issues.

Bill Clinton was the greatest President of the 20th century.

Don't dismiss his 8 years over 2 pardons, a suicide and his personal life...LOOK AT THE FACTS! Someone posted the facts above, sit down and READ THEM. Then when you're done reading them, look up George W. Bush's record...you'll see why G.W. Bush is the worst President EVER. I'd rather have a man in office that screwed his intern than a man who has screwed this country...and turned the rest of the world against us.

You're saying if you were President you wouldn't pardon your own brother for a similar crime and get him the help he needs?

Clinton was one of the better Presidents of the 20th century. He left office with a budget surplus.

I don't understand Mele Kai's question: "...then what was the Persian Gulf War? Iraq War #1?" Desert Storm had nothing to do with Clinton; the Persian Gulf-Iraq War #1 was another illegal, unconstitutional, undeclared war initiated by George H.W. Bush, not Bill Clinton.

The Vince Foster death is suspicious, as are numerous other mysterious deaths of people surrounding the Clintons. Not surprisingly, there are just as many mysterious deaths of people surrounding George Walker Bush. Presidential pardons are notorious for favoring Presidential friends, relatives and confidants.

How bad was Clinton in office? Not nearly as bad as many other Presidents. Here's my TOP TEN list of the best U.S. Presidents:

10. Harry Truman
9. Franklin D. Roosevelt
8. John F. Kennedy
7. Theodore Roosevelt
6. Dwight D. Eisenhower
5. George Washington
4. Jimmy Carter
3. William Jefferson Clinton
2. Thomas Jefferson
1. Abraham Lincoln

Here's my TOP FIVE list of the WORST U.S. Presidents:
5. Herbert Hoover
4. Lyndon B. Johnson
3. George H.W. Bush
2. Ronald Reagan
1. George W. Bush

So you're basing an eight year presidency on two pardons and suicide? There are so many other things to be concerned about and you pick the lamest things. Congratulations!
