x + 10 = x^2/x - 5 x^2 + 10x = x^2 - 5x x + 10 = x - 5 10 = -5 that is an impossible challenge, till you meant x + 10 = x^2/(x-5), then: x + 10 = x^2/(x-5) (x+10)(x-5)=x^2 x^2 + 5x - 50 =x^2 5x - 50 =0 5x = 50 x =10
