I don't do web links but certainly there may be hundreds. A simple platform bed is relatively easy. The last one I built had a headboard and floating side tables.
Without knowing at all any notion you might have as to a design it's rather difficult to advise.
I've built quite a few beds in my time; but knowing what you want, would help us.
Obvious places would be HGTV, This Old House, Um Ask.com, and just using keywords in a WWW search will likely yield many sites.
Books at HD and Lowes probably will as well. Most often they show images of finished, and exploded views; sometimes offering measurements.

Unfortunately, even the more expensive furniture stores are now using a lot of particle board. I can think of two options. 1) Buy a used bed in really good shape from a yard sale or used furniture outlet. 2) Find someone that will build the bed and dresser for you at a good price. If your or a family member are handy there are some simple plans available to build a nice bed.

I have my own plans, It's quite easy if you have the tools and, expertise.
Or, go to www.meiselwoodhobby.com and go through their site or www.hobbycrafters.com they're good to.
