The reason people hate them is because they are proven cheaters. they've been cheating for years at everyone else's expense. and instead of apologizing for it all the N.E. fans just say everyone does it which is not true otherwise someone else would be busted by now. Doesn't matter if they go 16-0 they'll never get their props because they're still cheaters. and no I'm not a Jets fan, I'm a Bears fan the Guys who spanked you in SB XX.

I don't hate the Patriots because they are good or because they are winning. I respect what they can do on the field, the TEAM deserves and has my respect. (though I always have and always will find Belichick to be of "questionable character") What I hate about the Pats are the arrogant, braggart fans. I also dislike the number of bandwagon fans they have, but to be fair I hate that about my own team. I'm not stupid enough to think that all Pats fans are like that. I know quite a few Pats fans who are nice people. Unfortunately, with any team, the fans that are the most disrespectful, also tend to be the loudest. Which means they have plenty of opportunity to create ill-will.
I kinda think you need to "get over it" as well. Part of being a a fan of a team is having people that hate your team, for a variety of reasons, that may or may not having anything to do with how good they are. (Prime example, the number people who absolutely hate Notre Dame) And it's been my experience that the number one source of hatred for a team is obnoxious fans.

No kidding!!! I am not a Patriot fan, but I don't hate them. They are cool. All those punks are just freaking envy like crazy, that's all. Especially after RM came to NE and instead of being an asss he is being the real deal.

I am a lifelong Steeler fan. some of my hatred for the Pats is bourne out of the rivalry thats developed in the last decade. NE/ Pitt and NE/ Indy are the best rivalry games in football right now. thats because all of the teams are really good right now. so it makes for compelling rivalries.
My hatred is not for the organization. The Pats are well run, well coached, and some of their players are classy. My hatred is born first and foremost from a healthy football rivalry perspective, but something has happened with their fan base. the fans have become just like the New York fans that they profess to hate so much. maybe not YOU, personally, but i live here in New England, and i can tell you, taht the MAJORITY (Easily 80%) or Pats fans are the most arrogant fans of any team, in in sport, hands down, period, by far! there is nothing wrong with supporting your team. But the Pats fans attitiude toward EVERY other team is one of "no respect". They think that because their team is good (and they are!), that no other team even belongs on the field with them.
ALL fans are a little arrogant, and a little biased, but in listening to a Pats fan, you'd think the rest of the league was college level football. Hey, its just the common attitude in New England I've observed. Its reflective of the people- they think that NE is the only part of America that counts (Again, making a generalization- this may not apply to you, but it certainly applies to the majority of New Englanders).
Even the whole "Humble Pie" thing recently was a joke, and a slap in the face to the league. if you have to walk around saying you are humble, then you are not humble. advertise it on a shirt, and the arrogance is higher than even the average person.
there. you asked! :)

Take a reality pill and come back and talk to us.
I don't hate the Patriots, although my opinion of them took a dip after Cameragate....not for the illegality of it as much as the sheer stupidity of it, but I am starting to get annoyed with obnoxious Patriot fans who want me to hate their team.
Sure your team has had a nice run in the past few years and you probably have made a few younger generation fans jealous with your success.
But you are not the most popular or most hated team in the NFL and you never will be.
That title still belongs to the Dallas Cowboys.
Still the most popular and most hated team in the NFL.
And I am personally glad the Pats whipped the stars right off their helmets!
Hate the Patriots? Not me. I actually root for them....
when they play the Cowboys!

Well I hate the Raiders, oddly enough THEY SUCK. I hate the Patriots, and unlike most of their fans I knew they existed 10 years ago, and they are good. What do these two Franchises have in common? Oh yeah they CHEAT TO WIN. They have no class or integrity. Give the Raiders credit that everyone KNEW they were cheating and they just played to injure. You know what was coming and you were ready.

Born and bred and live in Boston, so obviously I dont hate the Patsies... but Im assuming people do because they hate what can beat them and what they fear... the pats are just too good this year, and people resent that their teams dont stand a chance... so they embrace the whole videotaping scandal and cling to it..
