Buchholz was shut down by the Sox for the rest of the season so he isn't even on the ALCS roster. Even if he was I would say start Schilling...he is a proven big game pitcher and I wouldn't bet against him in game six...I am very confident in Schilling sending this series to game 7 where the Sox have a great chance to take this one...I predicted that if Cleveland didn't finish the Sox in Cleveland than the Sox would win in seven and I am going to stand by that. I feel Schilling will step it up big time and send this to game seven where the Sox will have home field advantage and enough momentum to send them to the World Series.

It has to be schilling in this game, it is the biggest game for you so far (they are all from this point out) so you want the best big game pitcher available, Beckett went last night so you have to go Schilling tomorrow night, lay it all on the line with your best arm. The only other option would be Lester and I do not see them wanting to throw him out there as a sacrificial lamb in a game of that magnitude. You throw Schill and hope it gets to Dice K in Game 7.

Since the Red Sox have only one pitcher against an arsenal in the Indians staff, it looks like Beckett will have to throw games 6 and 7. Hopefully next time Lofton will scream a line drive down his throat.

Schilling. Why bring up Buckholtz? He will be be great someday but he is nowhere near ready for a game of this magnitude. I am feeling good with Schill on the mound

Hey Wonderboy, lets see how Carmona does Saturday, before you spout off about our pitchers slacking. I think it's funny, you glorify Westbrook and Byrd. Second time around with those overrated pitchers, it will be different (depending on who would go game 7)only if we can get past Carmona, which will be a big IF.

Schilling should start. Bucholtz is not currently on the active roster and therefore cannot pitch at all in the ALCS.

Being back at Fenway, I 'll be happy with Schilling and Dice-K in the final 2 games....................... for me, as long as there are no injuries, they don't need to push Bucholtz into and pressure situations...................... just plan for next season
