For a rectangle x inches wide and 2.1 inches long;
perimeter = 4.2+2xin. (x+x+2.1+2.1)



what is the area of the rectangle from the question above:

A = 2.1X sq in (2.1*x)

I just want to check to see if I am correct

Well, let's see...since you can't solve for x until you know what the area is, all you can do is simplify. You know that A=LxW. Length is 2.1 and width is x. So, A= 2.1x. Looks good to me, unless we both did the math wrong and that's not likely. Lol.

P = 2 (x + 2.1) ins
P = 2x + 4.2 ins

A = (2.1 x) ins ²
